Turkey's Disaster and Coordination Center
AFAD holds a very important place for our country. In fact, this situation, which came to our agenda with the Marmara earthquake, was something that should always have been in our country. However, as always, necessary measures are not taken in our country without suffering great losses. AFAD, which came to the agenda with the Marmara earthquake and provides all possibilities and coordination in disaster situations, constitutes one of the lifelines of our country. Our country is a country in the middle of all dangers from all directions. There is always a risk and one must be ready.
What Does AFAD Do? What Kind of Organization Is It?
It is a relief organization that serves with all its facilities in case of a disaster and trouble in or around our country. This organization is a comprehensive disaster, calamity, search, rescue, and first aid organization, connected to the state, with civil teams under its command. It should be further developed and introduced to our people.
