Work Permit for Foreign Personnel in Our Country
All foreigners who come to our country for work and are not T.R. citizens are required to obtain a work permit in accordance with Law No. 4817 on Work Permits for Foreigners. This law makes the employment of foreigners subject to permission and determines the principles for issuing work permits.
Duration of Work Permits
Work permits are initially prepared by evaluating the market conditions and working conditions. As a result of this evaluation, a permit valid for a maximum of one year is issued to the individual. The
foreign personnel work permit can then be extended for up to three years, provided that the person continues to work in the same company and for the same profession. If the person has legally and continuously worked in our country for a total of six years, a permanent work permit can be issued without regard to market conditions and without being limited to a specific company or geographical area.
